Watch JaxRadio.net  for W4IZ service updates.
NOFARS is helping restore the ship's radio room and install an Amateur Radio station.   A goal is to have the station in operation during the Ships On The Air weekend in June.
Around thirty NOFARS members attended an organizational meeting on the ship last month to look over equipment and plan antenna installation.   Several wire antennas and verticals are already in place and it is hoped these can be used for our ham station.   Transmission lines will need repair or replacement.
Additional volunteers are welcome.   Attend the next NOFARS meeting or contact W4IJJ.
Dues remain at only $5 per year.   Avoid future dues increases by joining or renewing for multiple years at the low $5/yr rate.
NOFARS Life Memberships start at only $50 for those who have been a member for five years or more.   For newcomers, the cost is $75.   See   JaxRadio.net/membership.html for more.
